Bargain and used-product searches
Are bargain and used-product searches worth paying for?
People searching for free, cheap or used products rarely hire an installer, but some do.
Show me where
- Click the Campaigns icon on the left, then "Insights and reports", then "Search terms".
- Set the date range in the top right to the last 30 days.
- Look for "clearance composite decking".
Ask your agency
Note for your agency
Hi team, Can you add these negative keywords to "Search - Patios and Fencing" this week and let me know when it's done? "clearance" Why: People searching for free, cheap or used products rarely hire an installer, but some do. They cost about $1 in the last 30 days and brought no leads. Thanks
Watchdog checks next week.

Negative keywords to paste
"clearance"
Why?
What changes: If you block these, about $1 a month stops going to these searches. Only do it if they're not your customers. The other $3 is already blocked.
The quotation marks make each one a phrase match: it blocks any search containing those words in that order. Don't add a word you also bid on, or your own ads can stop showing.
Checked against Google's help: About the search terms report (Oct 26, 2026); Add negative keywords to campaigns (Oct 25, 2026).
